Vehicle Auxiliary Power
To be successful on the modern battlefield armoured and other military vehicles now carry more electronics systems than ever before. Communications, Electronic Counter-Measures and Targeting systems are often upgraded to keep legacy vehicles effective on rapidly changing missions. Many of these existing vehicles were not designed to power modern electronic systems. Now there is a Military–Off-the-Shelf solution to their power needs. By using an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), military vehicle operators can power critical systems, safe in the knowledge that they won’t run out of power. Our APUs run on diesel fuels, switching on when needed during peak power loads or during silent watch and when vehicle batteries need recharging. Nearly silent, the systems have a lower signature than vehicle main engines which allows the APUs to be used in covert scenarios.
