Minister Launches New Manufacturing Industry Strategy at Tectonica

Minister for Manufacturing Richard Dalla-Riva today launched the Victorian Government’s manufacturing industry strategy at Tectonica.
Miles Partridge, Managing Director Tectonica, welcomed the Minister and the Member for Northern Metropolitan Province, Mr Craig Ondarchie.
The Minister said, “This strategy will strengthen Victoria’s manufacturing industry to create more opportunities for businesses to grow and become more productive and competitive in a tough global market”.
The Minister highlighted Tectonica’s world-leading innovations in advanced manufacturing, producing hi-tech equipment that allows soldiers to be safer, more agile, more aware of the dangers around them.
Tectonica’s business model reflects the changing nature of manufacturing in Australia and as an SME in the Defence and Security Industry, Tectonica relies on its partners in order to deliver sophisticated, multi-disciplinary solutions.
Mr Partridge said, “To deliver our technology solutions, we have formed partnerships with a number of Australian and international organisations. Organisations such as Explosive Protective Equipment (EPE). EPE is based in Brisbane and is a specialist in Counter IED technology. We also work with Marshall Land Systems. This UK based Company produces deployable infrastructure such as workshops and hospitals”.
